Description

Texas Stadium housed the Dallas Cowboys for 38 seasons and was gone in 38 seconds! The exact time to the second was an unplanned event, and it is iconic that Texas Stadium will not only be remembered for the 38 seasons but now for the 38 seconds.

There were 2,756 holes drilled, 2,600 pounds of dynamite, and 200 pounds of C4 linear shaped charges used to bring the stadium down. Over 26,000 fans showed up as well as camera crews from all over to catch the explosion. While it may look like demolition rubble to many, the team at Heart of Texas Demolition sees it as pieces of American History. We recycle up to 98%, and the materials will be reutilized in other projects and/or highways.

The recycling of materials of the Texas Stadium Project produced some staggering numbers: 10,004,880 pounds of steels, along with 200,000,000 pounds of concrete, which have all been placed with the proper recycling facilities. This commitment of Heart of Texas Demolition is an important component of our belief in Environmental Stewardship.
